In the Middle Ages, the word "Garennes" referred to a forest where private huntings took place (especially the wild rabbit), reserved for the lord.

Altitude : 300-350 m
The highest terroir in the 1ers Crus from Puligny-Montrachet. Next to les Garennes (hunting preserve), the soil is whiter than somewhere else with all kind of screes. The wines need more time to express.

Tasting notes
A rather ample Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru, with nice buttered and spicy scents with a long finish which evolves on notes of honey and white truffle.
