Terroir
The hill of Corton has a flared tapered shape. The top of the hill is a mixture of limestone and marl, the environment contains more colluvium and rocky elements.
The bottom is composed of sediments from deposits of old rivers.

"Pale lemon and lime. The nose has some fine mineral aspects but is subdued after the big beasts from the Montrachet area. One of the stricter rather than fleshier examples, and so much the better for that. Lovely light limey notes at the back, very refreshing after the Montrachet family"
